DELAYING SOLID FOODS
There
is growing evidence to suggest that giving solid food to babies less
than six months of age can be damaging to their developing gut lining.
Contrary to the messages that parents often receive from some health
care professionals babies do not need anything other than breast milk
for at least the first six months of their life.
Babies do not need to be eating three meals a day by the time they are
9 months old! Below are links to some articles that further explain
the reasoning behind delaying the introduction of solid food to young
babies.
