An independent scholar, she is an acknowledged expert on evidence-based maternity care. Goer has written consumer education pamphlets and numerous articles for magazines as diverse as Reader's Digest and the Journal of Perinatal and Neonatal Nursing. Henci has compiled a comprehensive list of articles relating to a range of pregnancy and birth topics. The information contained on this woman's website is information that many women never hear about from their care provider during pregnancy and birth.

Homebirth UK

This website contains information regarding the theory of Optimum Foetal Positioning. Optimum Foetal Positioning is a theory developed by a midwife (Jean Sutton) and an antenatal teacher (Pauline Scott) who found that the mother's position and movement could influence the way her baby lay in the womb in the final weeks of pregnancy. Many difficult labours result from 'malpresentation', where the baby's position makes it hard for the head to move through the pelvis, so changing the way the baby lies could make birth easier for mother and child.

Belly Casting

This website contains detailed instructions on how to create your own pregnancy belly cast. It also has some wonderful pictures of belly casts that have been lovingly and artistically decorated.
